Food Stamps, also known as SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, provides food assistance to low-income individuals and households through an electronic benefits transfer (EBT) card known as the Horizon Card.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
STEP 1 - Bring your SNAP EBT Horizon card to the farmers market info booth before you shop.
STEP 2 - Decide how much money you would like to spend. The attendant at the information booth will swipe your card for the requested amount and will give you wooden tokens worth one dollar each that you can use to purchase food from vendors at the market. You can use the tokens right away or save them for another day.

DOUBLE YOUR SNAP/EBT DOLLARS!
With Double Up Food Bucks, you can get up to $20 of FREE Utah-grown fruits and veggies - per market day - when using your SNAP (food stamp) EBT Horizon card at Sunset Farmers Markets.

The Utah Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is a new produce incentive program offering $50 to qualified seniors to spend at authorized farmers' markets. SFMNP vouchers can be spent on fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey.
The Utah Produce Rx program is a fruit and vegetable prescription program implemented in a healthcare setting to screen and enroll eligible patients into the program during regular clinic visits. Eligible patients receive up to $300 to spend at participating farmers markets and local retailers.
